Brett was born in the Kansas City area on March 1.  He went to Olathe South High School, where he played baseball and football.  After graduating he went on to the University of Kansas and earned a degree in Communication.

His favorite things are: playing sports (baseball/softball, basketball, football, golf, running, skiing), fly fishing, cigars, good scotch and spending time with his family and friends.

His favorite teams are the: Kansas Jayhawks, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals,  and Dallas Mavericks.
