I know it’s so hard being patient while we iron out details and start setting things in stone, but…..  we OFFICIALLY have the ceremony site booked!

The ceremony will take place at our church, Old Mission United Methodist Church, located in Fairway, KS.  To see pictures of this GORGEOUS church, go here. But there is a sneak peek below.

We love being members at Old Mission and truly feel like we have a Church family there.  In fact, just this morning a member came up to me to ask questions about wedding planning because her daughter is recently engaged, too!  She wanted to confirm our date to make sure they weren’t conflicting and to ask about reception venues her daughter should look at.  It was so nice to be able to share that information with her and I loved that she sought me out to ask me.  A couple of our friends work part-time in the nursery on Sundays, so it’s nice to see their faces, too.

The ceremony will take place on August 17, 2013 at 4 o’clock in the afternoon.  I am so thrilled that this date was available since it has such importance in our lives.  August 17, 2006 was the first date we ever went on.  It was the last first date I ever had.  Every year on August 17 we would celebrate having spent another year together.  August 17, 2012 is the day we got engaged after exactly six years of dating.  It was a Friday night.   And now, August 17, which just so happens to fall on a Saturday in 2013, will be the anniversary of our wedding.  I can’t think of a more perfect day to say ‘yes’ to beginning the rest of our lives together.

The reception will take place immediately after the ceremony at the Mission Theatre, so be sure to check out the reception section of ‘The Details.’
