Mother: Gina Marie Poland

Born: August 18 in Philadelphia, PA

The tenth of eleven children, Gina is the youngest daughter of a Philadelphia Police Department lieutenant and a stay at home mother. She graduated from St. Hubert’s Catholic High School for girls, where she played basketball. Gina currently lives in Burlington, NJ.

Father: Ronald Edward Poland

Born: September 27 in Richmond, CA

The oldest of four children, Ron spent his youth in the mountains of California where he attended Sierra Nevada High School. He joined the Air Force at 17 and lived in Minot, ND where he was stationed. He currently resides in Bixby, OK.

Ron and Gina met in Philadelphia in 1981. They worked together at a restaurant called Benny & Flynn’s. Ron was a chef and Gina was a waitress. They got married in 1982 and in 1983, they welcomed their first child, Arianna, into the world. They were married for 20 years. During that time, they moved to Oklahoma, California, and back to Pennsylvania, had three more children (two more daughters, and (to the relief of Ron) a son), moved from a two bedroom apartment to a three bedroom row home, and ultimately, moved their entire family back to Oklahoma in the 1990s.

It is with immense happiness that they join their daughter during this wonderful time in her life.
