3 Months to go . . .

As of today we are just 3 short months away from the wedding! It’s hard to believe that it’s been nine months since we got engaged and started all of this planning. But, here we are!

All of the invitations have been sent out and people have started letting us know they received them! So fun. Hopefully, you are here because you saw the web address on the back of the envelope!

If you are looking for information on where to stay, or what to do while you are in town, be sure to check out the What to Do page. We teamed up with the Drury Inn in Merriam and have a block of rooms set aside. Be sure to use the group number listed on the Places to Stay page.

We’ve made lots of progress on planning and getting things checked off our to do list. We went and picked out the Groomsmen’s tuxes this evening and I can’t wait to see all of the guys dressed up! The bridesmaids have ordered their gowns and I love that they have each picked out a dress they will be comfortable in. I can’t wait to see them!

I’ve been looking up hair and makeup ideas and think I have made the final decision on a hairstyle. The makeup search continues.

Our engagement photo session is set for the second weekend in June and I am really looking forward to it!

We went to a wedding this weekend (Congratulation Dan and Danielle!) and I got lots of ideas to incorporate for our reception, and some that we were already doing!

Finally, there is still time to weigh in on the Father/Daughter dance! Be sure to check out the survey and cast your vote. The vote is really close and there is a tie going on – will your vote throw the advantage to one of the songs?! Check it out!

With the summer holidays upon us, these next three months are going to be gone before I know it!

I can’t wait!

New page added, lots of progress made…

We are five months away from the wedding!

A new page has been added with details of things to do and place to stay during your visit.

We have partnered with the Drury Inn and set aside a block of rooms. There are a limited amount so be sure to book early! All of the details are on the new page.

In my last post I mentioned we were meeting with the baker and scouting locations for the rehearsal dinner. Well, we have met with the baker and have a solid plan for a cake (it’s a surprise for all of you)! We also decided on a place for the rehearsal dinner and are so excited to have Fiorella’s Jack Stack’s Freight House location be a part of such a special occasion.

Be sure to check out the  new page and feel free to browse the other pages while you are here.

Five more months, People. Five months!

6 months and counting. . .

It is crazy to think that we got engaged six months ago! And now, we are only six months away from the wedding!! This weekend we got quite a bit of wedding planning knocked out.

Our registries are officially started. The first registry is at Target. We will also have registries at Bed Bath and Beyond and Crate and Barrel but those are not set yet.

Save the dates and wedding invitations have been ordered as well and I am so excited to get them! They look really great and I can not wait to share them with everybody.

My dress is still not in yet, but when I ordered it in December they said it could take until June to come in. C’mon dress…. GET HERE because I want to see you!

Bachelorette party ideas, bachelor party plans, wedding shower ideas and engagement party plans have all been talked about this weekend. It has been quite the busy weekend.

So, six months down, six months to go!

So. Excited.

7 months to go…

In exactly seven months we will be on an airplane heading to Jamaica! Why? Because we will have just gotten MARRIED! The thought is very exciting. But looking at our to do list the thought is also quite daunting. But, we are powering through our list and getting things accomplished. This weekend is dedicated to wedding planning, so hopefully we are able to get a lot of things checked off our list.

The biggest snag in planning came when I went dress shopping with a couple of my bridesmaids in December. They both found really beautiful dresses that looked great on them. When they went to order the dress, the consultant informed them that the dress was no longer available in my chosen shade of pink! Naturally, I wasn’t pleased, but throwing a fit and being crazy isn’t go to make a large national corporation change their mind on discontinuing the color I chose. So, I had to select a different shade of pink, and while it wasn’t my first chose, I know it will be beautiful and honestly, if I hadn’t told you I’d be the only person who knew it wasn’t my first choice. But what’s a wedding without a little drama, right?

The thing I’m most looking forward to at the moment is putting together our registries! Who doesn’t love to shop, amiright?!?

So, 210 days until the wedding – but who’s counting?

Next Missions….

Save the dates – we have a really awesome idea for these so keep an eye on your mailboxes!

Wedding dress – I am waiting on confirmation from the gallery for my appointment to buy my gown.  I’ve already been once and found the dress, now I just have to go back and buy it!

And I think according to my ‘the knot’ wedding app I’m supposed to meet with and choose a caterer and a florist and a cake baker.
